From 31 August to 2 September 2016 the Department of Mathematics of the University of Hamburg hosted a

Workshop on Industrial and Applied Mathematics 2016

combining the 5th Symposium of German SIAM Student Chapters and the

MathMods Alumni Meeting 2016

WIAM16’s main goal was to bring people studying applied mathematics and related sciences together for a three-day-long meeting in Hamburg, where they could present their research, share the experience with international teams and spend time learning about the work done in the industry.
